RL Vaalwater is situated in the heart of the Waterberg, and offers accommodation in self-catering chalets. The lodge is located on a 360-hectare bushveld farm with free-grazing wildlife comprising Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Giraffe, Impala, Kudu, Sable, Warthog, Wildebeest, and Zebra.

Although each chalet is equipped for self-catering, there are restaurants in Vaalwater, which is approximately 10 minutes away from the farm. The lodge offers a communal entertainment area with dining and lounging areas, and a rock pool for those hot summer days. There is also a lovely viewing deck with uninterrupted views of the surrounding bush. Guests can enjoy sun-downers on the deck overlooking the Waterberg while enjoying an African sunset. Activities at the lodge include walking, cycling, or sitting in the hide overlooking the waterhole.

The lodge comprises 5 privately situated chalets.

Gemsbok:

sleeps two (2), double bed, en-suite bathroom, and a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, two-plate stove and cutlery and crockery.

Kudu:
Sleeps two (2) double bed, en-suite bathroom, and a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, two-plate stove and cutlery and crockery.

Hartbees:
Sleeps two (2)  double bed, en-suite bathroom, and a kitchenette equipped with a bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, two-plate stove and cutlery and crockery.

Zebra:
Sleeps four (4)  bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with 2 single beds, one bathroom is equipped with a bath and the other with a shower) and a separate kitchen. It has  its own private open boma with a braai and outside scullery.

Duiker:
Sleeps four (4) is ideal for a family with small children.  The chalet comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette with a bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, and cutlery and crockery.

The lodge is approximately 3 hours from Johannesburg and 2 hours from Pretoria East with only 3 km dirt road.
